APRIL PINK DAY

Here we are in April with our first Pink Day of 2014…….we got off to a great start with breakfast cooked by our Pink Fleet chef – sadly we no longer have Ken and Barbara for our Pink Days – they have moved on to big boat sailing….we wish them all the best.

Monica, assisted by Dean and Lucy set a course and briefed us, while Chris and Carole readied one of the power boats. Dean and Lucy made the best start, hotly pursued by Dave, later to be disqualified for NOT wearing his pink hat…..closely followed by Alice with Lily on her bow!!

Angela and David sailed really well, while Ian disappeared into the trees with Louise……their spinnaker got tangled…,or so they say..??!!

Nigel went out in his son’s Topper, too scared to use his Laser….

Everyone enjoyed their sail and despite the gusty winds no one got wet!!

Brian took out the 2nd power boat, just in case….. and so that Richard could get in some practice for next week’s training….the floods had kept us off the water since last Dec!!

The Pink Fleet cup went to Lucy for her amazing crewing in the Laser 2000.

Well done everyone and thanks to Elaine – we all came off the water a little chilled – there was hot soup and rolls….much appreciated.
