Sunday 19th July – Summer Series Race 5

Very shifty winds for Sunday’s Summer Series.

15 boats made it out for the pursuit race, with Newton (Solo) taking and maintaining an early lead, having got past the ILCA6’s of Rhys, Jess and Cecilia.

He was closely followed by Steve S & Darren (Both Solos). Whilst Rick (ILCA7) made it past Rhys.

At the finish gun, Newton was 1st, with Steve S 2nd and Darren 3rd.

The Handicap race had a similar start, with Newton taking a close lead. He was followed by Rick & Steve S.

Positions once again remained similar, with Darren & Rhys having a close battle in the midfleet before Darren passed him.

On the final lap, Rick overtook Newton to finish first. Newton was 2nd and Steve S 3rd.

On Handicap, Newton was first, with Steve S 2nd and Rick 3rd.
