{"id":598,"date":"2013-08-08T08:38:00","date_gmt":"2013-08-08T08:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.readingsc.org.uk\/members\/2013\/08\/08\/summer-7-4\/"},"modified":"2013-08-08T08:38:00","modified_gmt":"2013-08-08T08:38:00","slug":"summer-7-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.readingsc.org.uk\/members\/2013\/08\/08\/summer-7-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Summer 7.<\/p>\n<p>Another breezy, sunny day with plenty of keen  racers debating what size<br \/>\n<br \/>sails to use&#8230;..mostly radials&#8230;&#8230;.Dave and his  depleted team set a good<br \/>\n<br \/>course from the shore with a long beat up to 3, then  Xp, 4s, 8p, 6s, 7s and<br \/>\n<br \/>through the start line, giving the spectators on the  deck something to<br \/>\n<br \/>watch &#8211; spectacular planes across the lake with some  capsizing!!<br \/>\n<br \/>Simon opted for a club radial sail, while Sylvia  decided on  4.7&#8230;it was<br \/>\n<br \/>windy!!<br \/>\n<br \/>Eddie was the first to retire, before the start, then  Karen in the lead,<br \/>\n<br \/>came in with a shoulder injury &#8211; bad luck Karen.  The 505 collided with<br \/>\n<br \/>Sylvia, throwing Lynne into the water and  capsizing  Sylvia as well. Both Lynne<br \/>\n<br \/>and Sylvia were rescued and taken ashore &#8211; Steve  needed assistance to get<br \/>\n<br \/>his 505 upright as well. Newton was going well with his  spinnaker flying,<br \/>\n<br \/>until he took a swim as well!!<br \/>\n<br \/>The finish was exciting with Mark capsizing at 6 and  losing a place, Paul<br \/>\n<br \/>taking in front of Jon at 7 and Adrian falling out of his  boat on the<br \/>\n<br \/>finish line!!
